Know Your Knives

Ever wonder which knives make the cut?
Here are four useful knives to have in your kitchen:

Chefs Knife: A chefs knife is an all purpose knife that is predominantly used for cutting proteins, starches and veggies.

Boning Knife: A boning knife is used for cutting proteins, usually fish.  Its purpose is to separate the edible muscle tissue from the skin, fat, or bones.

Serrated Knife: A serrated knife is commonly used for breads, hard fruits, or starchy raw ingredients.

Paring Knife: A paring knife is used for peeling of fruits or sometimes making small, precise cuts in ingredients.
